Genians Experiences Surge in Regional Credit Union and Bank Customers

Credit unions and banks in the U.S. are turning to Genians to solve their Cybersecurity challenges with Genian ZTNA

Challenges

Whether it is due to federal, state, or other regulatory compliance mandates, regional credit unions and banks are struggling to keep up with Cybersecurity requirements as they apply to network visibility and control. These requirements are even more difficult to comply with as small IT and Security teams are busy managing multiple projects, often operating in a reactive versus proactive mode when it comes to network security. Some specific challenges these customers have in common include:
  • Lack of visibility of users and devices connected to the network
  • Gaps in controlling access to wired and wireless networks
  • Insufficient security/posture status of authorized user devices
  • Lack of proper attack surface management (too much access/exposure)
  • Remote workers requiring secure access to internal resources

Solutions

Most of the common challenges still need to be addressed due to the perceived complexity and lack of affordability of the solutions available to resolve these issues. Among many regional credit unions and banks, even though IT audits have revealed the issues exist, due to limited IT staff and budget, often a solution has yet to be implemented. Genian ZTNA is being rapidly adopted as a cost-effective option that eliminates the complexity historically associated with Network Access Control or Zero Trust Network Access solutions. In addition to solving the challenges related to securing on-premise networks, a secure remote access option is also available. Customers are leveraging these features to solve their problems:
  • Using physical or virtual network sensor technology, visibility of any IP-enabled node connecting to the network, along with user identity is provided
  • With intuitive policy wizards, quickly and easily configure conditional access for any device/user connecting to wired or wireless networks
  • A lightweight agent verifies the security posture of user devices in real-time including Anti-Virus, OS updates, and complete hardware and software inventory
  • ARP Enforcement can be enabled in minutes, eliminating the need for complex network integrations and network vendor lock-in, while also ensuring Least Privilege Access to reduce the attack surface greatly
  • The same lightweight agent provides Secure Remote Access through a ZTNA Gateway, which can provide the same access a user would have on-site while also ensuring compliance with admin-defined endpoint security policies

Summary

Genian ZTNA is becoming widely recognized within this customer community due to the ability to address all on-premise security challenges, as well as providing an option for Secure Remote Access, all within a single product, UI, and price. This allows customers to implement the solution with limited IT staff/budget and view all locally and remotely connected devices and users within a single system. In some cases, legacy VPN remote access solutions are also decommissioned, providing further ROI for the customer, without compromising security or sacrificing features.
